I think they should get away from some of the Eddie and David led stuff and put some of their own songs in their concerts, like "sail away","your love is true","selfish reasons and "still here"..these song can hold their own in concerts if packaged right...now I know they've gotta sing the "Ain't too prouds,"losing you","the way you do the things and etc.. because that's where they do the steps that the older crowd come to see...name me any of the older groups or solo artist that's works as much as the TEMPS that sounds like their studio version when their in concert???Remember, Ron been doing this for a long time and to say that he can't "reach it anymore" is subjective at best!!

First of all Ron is not a real first tenor anyway. The fact that he has been able to do it this long is amazing at best. He has always wanted to sing in his natural voice but that is not possible in this group. Listen to his Christmas cd to hear his natural voice. He was a writer who happened to be able to sing those parts and when Glenn started to have some problems, he was a natural fit. He used to sing those parts when he was teaching the groups the songs. I dont know if he intended to stay this long or if Otis had that in mind when he signed him, but he has done a great job, been on time and doesnt miss rehearsals or shows and is very dependable. He has been around longer than anyone but Otis now and that should count for something.

I agree they should sing those songs except the guys who sang them arent in the group anymore. The other songs are classic and have to be sung at concerts. Terry used to sing more of his stufff. Dont know why that changed but the catalog is so big and to try to narrow it down for 75-90 minutes is almost mpossible. So those other songs are not gonna make the cut, especially at a venu like Las Vegas or Atlantic City. But there are smaller places that may have a different kind of audience in which some of those other songs get sung. I happen to be crazy about Selfish Reasons! And with Pops dead, dont know if they even have someone doing the steps for them anymore. And hell, Otis couldnt do the steps that well then, no chance of him doing them now lol!

GC was the best live singer they had for quite some time. he was great on the classic stuff and a professional entertainer I liked him in the group a LOT!

Don't drop-kick "Big O" on his dancing!!!If you look at most of their earlier routines,he was always positioned beside Paul, now some say's that was by design to avoid that "stair-step look, with Eddie or David and Otis mostly in the middle with Paul and Mel on the "bookends, depending on who was leading the song...now personally I think that Otis was Paul's student, and what better place to have him than besides his mentor???Eddie wasn't the best of dancers(by his own admission) but he moved soo slow and smooth,no-one noticed!!!But when they were all in the same groove, they were a sight to behold!!!now their choreography today without Cholly or Lon is mostly step, step, silde and step, but it still looks good for a bunch of old men,...Joe and terry might be the best dancer they've had in a long time..IMHO... I wasnt surprised! I knew CG could sing. Ive seen him when he was a Spinner. He can go! he has that gravely voicew you like in a lead singer and he can sing almost any part. He sang some of Ron"s parts on the recordings. Thats the kind of range he has.
