If that was the case, I"d be deleting posts left and right wouldn't I? No,for two reasons 1) censorship....you don't want information CENSORED on an INFORMATION BOARD ! 2) It could surface on another board..and people will get it form there. 3) Then you would have to change the name of the board.

I think the board is gonna be renamed the MikeNYS temptations information board, because you know more than the tempts themselves.

maybe if you changed the name we could get Otis and Dennis to post. after all if they knew that this board had mike seal of approval then they'd know it's authentic.

Here is Harry Berry singing "Sunshine and You" with this group "The Futures" www.uploadit.org/ivoryfair/sunshineandyou.rmA fine example of why bass singers should not sing lead. (thanks to Cheechy for cleaning it up for me) Sounds kinda contadictory to me, weren't you the same person giving kudo's to Paul Robeson? He basically was a bass soloist which equates to singing lead. Harry doesn't sound bad here, he reminds me of another great, Larry Graham of Sly & The Family Stone, Graham Central Station fame. Remember "One In a Million"? If you don't, research it and let me know. ;D

No, see, the question was who was the greatest or whether Robeson was better than Melvin. I think Robeson gets the edge much like Eddie Kendricks does just because there were the originators (kind of.)
I just think it's a rare thing when a bass singer sings lead and it sounds good. At least when the Tempts do it. I like "Ol Man" because the background harmony kicks natural hind end, but take "I Truly Believe" for example, OUCH!

I think HARRY sounded great too! Consider that he was still a *growing* bass singer in progress and all. Besides HARRY's been known to even try and sing first tenor at times....ONLY as a joke. ;D But that song has a LOU RAWLS type feel to it. I guess it was the time it was recorded. LOL@ "Otis is evil" and the rest of that statement. LOL!!

Ms Perry Mason, quit trying to squirm out of what you said. Also, who said that Robeson was the "originator" of that song?
