Once you move the files (songs) you have downloaded out of the SHARE file you should be okay. DONT DELETE YOUR SONGS - JUST MOVE THEM temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif Thank's Rufffan...I'll do just that..a co-worker of mine let me in on another tip where you can still get your music without sharing...I'll get more info on that.

There's a thing on TV about this right now. They said they are after ANYBODY doing this, but then the guy said that if they don't get all 60,000,000 people then it would be unequal distrubution of the law or something. Hmm..... Oh well, they should just give up! LOL!

I always move mine from the share folder because I categorize my stuff and am stingy What to me doesn't make sense is... the RIAA is going to sue poor people? That should be a crime itself! People who can't afford all the songs they like can't possibly pay for what they're suing. What also doesn't make sense is if they want people to buy the music, don't sue them until they have no money to buy anything. It seems like the RIAA is hurting themselves more and more as they go along bullying the people they want buying. Eventually people may just get fed up with it all and stop buying altogether... and if they also think that downloading songs is hurting them more than a weaker economy where people rather buy food than music, there are already people boycotting them. Just wait until that gets momentum. I want to see it all fall apart and see how they will pick up the pieces.

Look at www.riaa.com/ It's not about the original purpose of the RIAA, it's all about "LOOK WHO WE SUED TODAY!!!!!" The suing machine... most of the site deals with online music. It looks like Court TV... Where is the music? I can understand if a person is downloading the music to make a profit themselves, but for noncommercial use in the privacy of a home, we already make mix tapes/CD's and OMG share them with friends...

I'm reading a list of quotes from artists and song-writers whining about not getting money to live in huge mansions and thumb their noses at the general public. If it's that bad and they are being so "devastated" then why is there new music? Why do you keep doing it successfully if you're so crippled? Please, if it's that bad then maybe they should stop making music. They should quit altogether. If they feel that threatened, then don't provide it. Either way they're doomed.
And if anything happens to me... my boss reminded me I sit on some real dough... I work at Fort Knox!

Wait a minute? Am I reading this right? This site was on the RIAA's page as a link and one of the pages on that site seems to say it's ok to download, just don't let anyone upload from you. Is that right? Doesn't that go against what the RIAA is fighting or is it what they want? www.musicunited.org/5_takeoff.html

Well, like I said before, if NObody shares, what will there be for anybody to download? Buncha users sitting there with nothing in their "shared files" going

There is no way to stop the sharing really. Is the RIAA going to sue you if you let a friend borrow a CD? Are they going to sue you if you make a copy for yourself and someone else makes a copy from it?
My friends see it should be illegal to download albums and stuff, make CD's and sell them. But for your own private use, it's no different from what we've done before except now you can get a song you wanted from someone in England or Canada.
