Guess what? I *DID* apply with the U.S. Army! ;D It was for a civilian position, though....a GS-1412, to be precise.  That's government speak for what I am in *real life.* I'd really love to get it, but it may mean relocating....and I don't know how I feel about that. Peach Well, girl all relocating isn't bad and sometimes very necessary...A GS-1412...shoot girl if you get it you're gonna be rich(Party and Peach's house). But seriously I wish you the best of luck and once you are in the Civil Service "realm" the benifits are just great. Its almost like being a soldier without the uniform, hassle and way more pay...  |

i will sneak in once in a while but 8,300 posts will not happen again in 15 months- more like 15 yrs!
i am sleeping at the same time as my wife and kids- i can't believe it's happening- it's been 6 yrs since i did that!

My dad works for the Army as a civilian at the Pentagon. He's a GS something. Not sure about what series. He seems to like it. |

Sorry it took me so long to respond...I've been obsessing, moping....putting in resumes, moping some more....eating.... ;D Thanks so much!! I would love to get a government job. The benefits do look great and definitely the pay!! My last company seriously underpaid me... it'd be nice to make what I'm worth for once. I have a feeling it's a sloooooooow process, though, government jobs and hiring, etc. (Interviews, security check, etc.) Lots of red tape!! Peach |
