Half of you all are on this awful Atkins diet where you go around eating nothing but bacon and peanuts to the exclusion of everything else. I couldn't do that. I MUST have carbs!!!! Because Ivory cannot live on protein alone!!!! Anyway, so whenever I pick up a few extra pounds, I do the "Three Day Diet." I swear by it. Took off fifteen pounds that way. You eat a very restricted number of calories for three days straight, like around 800. Here's what you eat....... BREAKFAST
Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal
1/2 Grapefruit or Juice
1 Toast with 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter
LUNCH
1/2 Cup of Tuna
1 Toast
Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal
DINNER
3 Oz. any lean meat or chicken
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 apple
1 cup regular vanilla ice creamI've had a modified version of that today and yesterday (I'm only doing two days.) And while it's doing the trick, I've lost three pounds since yesterday morning, I'm about to go insane from cravings. Right now I'm sucking on a bottle of diet Sprite like it's my last meal, which it is, until tomorrow. The hunger pangs I can handle, but I WANT A CHEESEBURGER!!!! AND LASAGNA!!!! AND SOME CHEESE PUFFS!!!!!!! Fortunately I only have a few more hours until bed time and then tomorrow I can eat what I want. But in the mean time it DOES make me a little short tempered and I'm pretty much incapacitated for the whole time I'm on it. No energy. But TOMOROW I'm having one of these......... AND one of these!!! I can't wait!!!!!

You don't feel weak doing it, Ivory? How often do you do this three day diet. And you lost 15 lbs. That's interesting.

i eat lots of fruits and vegetables and have just had 2 chicken breat patties for lunch. i had a mango and i had some cherries and strawberries, a garden tomato and a plum.
yo-yo dieting is worse than not dieting. dropping and gaining will kill your heart.
also, coffee is not a healthy drink at all. caffeine is a killer. try bottled water instead. tomato juice is fairly low on carbs but very good.

No, sorry , didn't mean to confuse ........... not 15 pounds in three days, that would be unhealthy. I usually lose five pounds at a time and over the course of doing it several times last spring, I lost a total of 15 pounds The funny thing is that you'd think you'd just pig out the next day, but you don't. When I woke up this morning I really didn't have much of an appetite, despite swearing I'd get up and eat everything in the house. I had half of the Market Fresh sandwich that I talked about, but aside from some Chef Boyardee for breakfast, that's all I've had today. That was five hours ago and I don't want anything at the moment. Your stomach shrinks or whatever and you get full faster. When I was a baby, the Dr. kept me on formula until I was almost a year old. He did that with the intention of causing my stomach's growth to be stunted and fill up faster, thereby causing me to eat smaller meals more often. The idea was that I'd never be obese. I'm not 100% convinced of the results. I'm obviously not obese, but I'm not skinny either (although I was until I went to college.) I'm 5'2" and I weigh 130, I wear a size 10. I think genetics play a bigger roll than anything else. Sukka, you have to have the caffeine on this diet because it's an appetite suppressant. I don't normally drink caffenated beverages, or at least not all the time. (But then I don't know why I'm writing this to you because you're NOT reading, right? ) Hope we are not getting like the old temptations imusic board where every thread ended up talking about food.
Hey now, but that's what made it fun!!!! But to answer your question ........... I like JUST cheese on my lasagna, LOTS and LOTS of it!!!! I LOVE CHEESE!!!!

I'd fight somebody for some "southern comfort" right now. And I'm not talking about the drink. I miss my baby. Well, my ex-baby from 3 years ago. Oh, Sharetta.
