The song is about the world's problems, and how he's calling to the firefly to help "ease their minds" of the problems around them. That he shouldn't have to lie to her...telling her "everything's going to be fine."

What a line, by Melvin. You know that's classic. Richard sings the best ballads. They are so different. Like nothing you've ever heard. Flyfly is the tops. I love that song. I don't think it would have worked on anybody better that Richard. I still play that for my ex. And she goes for it everytime.

Rich is just great on this song. He really shoes his sensitive side. Now, I know he does shoe his sensitive side on alot of songs, but this one is really nice. It's a very homey and domestic kind of thing. He's brings the song to the listener and makes the listner reflect on him or herself.
But what a great singer Rich is. He shows up on so many songs. He right there and don't go nowhere. Kinda makes you relfect on what a great slice (and he is huge slice) of tempts history Richard Street is. He can say, that he was there in the beginning. He was in the group, but he was there. He can also say he was there as a member and sang with the majority of the temptations members on stage. (12 ain't bad at all).

Which is my biggest liking of Richard in the first place is his longivity and the versatility of his voice in background harmonies.
