Hello, I'm new to the board and I just wanted to say that I had the opportunity to meet Leon, along with Mel Jackson who was also in the Temptations movie, last week after seeing a performance of the Stageplay Friends and Lovers, and I got so excited I blurted out "Ain't nobody comin to see you Otis." Leon looked at me like I was crazy. I hope he knew what I was saying. It was an unforgettable line to me but he may not remember it. :faint: I think I would have fell out laughing had I been there!!!! That is sooo funny! I'm sure Leon remembered the line...he probably gets that alot. Sometimes actors feel like they are forever tied to certain roles they play, and therefore limited in the minds of their fans. |

(The scene when they were wainting in the kitchen ready to perform at the Copa) Shelly:Where the hell's David? Otis: You tell me cause I don't know!! Eddie:This is getting old! Flynn:I've become David's manager!! Shelly:What the hell are you talkin' about??(I love the way he says that!) Otis:You tell David that we are going on with or witout him!!! Eddie: We've got too much coming up. We need David! Otis:What?  ONE MORE (The scene where they are about to fire David) Otis: That is it! David's history!! Eddie:We need to vote!!! Otis: Fione! I vote he's gone. Eddie: I say he stays (pause) Paul!!! Paul:I- Hell, I vote he's gone! (Funny how he says that) Otis:Then he's gone! Eddie: Mel aint said! (Otis give Blue an evil stare) Otis:Well, go on. Tell him!!! Blue: It's not like we know he didn't mess p right? But we know that David being David! Otis:Finish-the-damn- vote-Mel! In or out? Hey, I'm a new member too!! No fair you got to meet Leon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I would've given to see that face you say he gave, damn what i'd give to see him!! I'm sure he remebers that line & was either stunned that you knew it or it took a sec for him to process what you saud =D
