I don't know if this subject was already discussed (i'm new to the board but have been a miniseriesaholic for a while now, lol) but in what order would you rank each of the actor's dancing abilities? Here's my opinion, best to least: 1. Christian "Paul" Payton - this man is just Too SMOOTH! 2. Leon "David" - He dances very well in his leads, especially 'I'm Losin' You' 3. Terron "Eddie" Brooks - While his moves aren't necessarily spectacular, he is very precise and seems to know all of the routines very well. His dancing on leads is done well too... 4. Charles Malik "Otis" Whitfield - Nothing spectacular about his dancing but he tries to stay on beat. I noticed a few mistakes, like after Cloud Nine when all of the temps have their hands up, he puts his down and then quickly puts it back up... 5. D.B. (Melvin) Woodside - I thought his moves were the most choppy although he did well on the final reprise of 'My Girl'. In 'I'm Losin You' when they're doing the 'circle' and D.B. brings up the rear, what is up with his hands? LOL! 6. Charles "Dennis" Ley - WHAT is this man doing on 'Cloud Nine'?? Of course these are little critiques of each one but this is not in any way to take away from how hard each of these men worked to do these moves. These are NOT easy moves to do and each one is to be HIGHLY commended! They all danced their butts off.

Pretty good but I'd give DB a lot more credit than you are.

Thanks for the welcome Ivory! I've read the other posts and I know that's your boy so I don't blame you for defending him. He did an awesome job overall though ;D How would you rank them?

Hi trebo! Welcome on the board. I think they all did some great job, although I think Leon was the best ... But, if you ask the other board members, that doesn't mean a thing because I am hopelessly partal to Leon/David. Nevertheless, compared to the real Tempts, they looked like a senior citizen's dance club ;D in my opinion ...

Hey AnnaKonda (luv the name btw!) Thanks for the welcome... Leon WAS awesome! He really knew how to work those hands on 'My Girl'. Yes, the real Tempts were TIGHT!

Yeah trebo ... they had style. Unfortunately, I've never seen them live. I think I would have dropped dead, seeing them dance -- and watching David do his splits. I wonder how much practice that took.

Hi Aba! Thanks for the welcome! I just read your post where you were saying you were an actor on 'AMC'. That's awesome! You saw them huh?! I bet that was an experience you'll never forget! So the actors had it down pretty much?? I have a video of the 'Tempts' singing 'Cloud Nine' and although the steps were a little different than the ones in the movie, the actors did a pretty good job of simulating!

The last My Girl routine at the end of the movie, Anna. It was step for step and it was right.................
Trebo............I was a guest on the show for a while.........I wouldn't hardly call myself an actor...........I did some guest spots on a couple of soaps back in the day...............And yes I saw them many times.................they were the best dancing group of any of the others I ever saw....they had class and style and they looked good..........the Manhattens made themselves famous by wearing black tuxedos and white gloves.......turning off the lights and doing some nice moves with the white gloves being the only thing you could see.........but when the hand came from behind the curtain......and set down the four headed mike...........that was all you needed to know cause the Temps were about to put on a show............................. ;D

I'd swap out Terron for DB. Not only did Terron look a little stiff, he didn't come close to moving like Eddie did. Too much head bopping.

I don't agree about the routine that they did in the movie.

I'd swap out Terron for DB. Not only did Terron look a little stiff, he didn't come close to moving like Eddie did. Too much head bopping. I also laugh every time I see the end of "Get Ready" at the Copa, when David walks up to the mike for the first time and they do their "end pose." Terron looks like a stiff robot... almost like the tin man. ;D Peach

Aba, I forgot all about the Manhattans! 'Let's Just Kiss and Say, Goodnight..' I bet that was some show! Ivory Fair, I feel what you're saying about Terron looking stiff at times. But in my opinion, whereas he might look stiff, DB seems way too loose. .. Peach, yes he DOES remind me of the tin man in that scene! ;D
