OLD NEWS Most people don't even care any more who's in the Temptations. I remember when David Ruffin was fired, there was artiles in many magazines. When Eddie Kendricks quit the Temptations this made the head lines. Phone calls to Motown appealing to the company about Eddie.....the same was with Paul and Melvin. You don't really hear of the Temptations except for the message boards and the DJ'S playing the songs from the Original Temptations. Many still go to the concerts, but they are rarely on Television. The average person can tell you there is (1) original member and a lot of people have forgotten Otis' name. The songs of the Original Temptations plus Dennis keep the Temptations alive. SO GC is no longer a Temptation.....NOW it's Bruce Williamson. WHO'S NEXT? hmmmmmmmm? Time has caught up with the Temptations. We hope for a hit CD. Many hope that Bruce Williamson will jump start the Temptations again. The Temptations have had their day a few times. Everytime I hear of a Change.....I'M NOT SURPRISED. The ONLY Breaking News from the Temptations that would draw attention if something would happen to Otis! If Terry Weeks would leave the Tempts......SO WHAT If the TEMPTS put A NEW CD OUT.....How much airplay would it get....very little 2 WEEKS LATER JUST LIKE "LEGACY AND REFLECTIONS" OLD NEWS. THERE NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THE TEMPTATIONS ANYMORE.....CHECK OUT MOST MESSAGE BOARDS WE REHASH "OLD NEWS" AND FOR SOME NEW FANS IT'S GOOD NEWS I PLAY THE OLD SONGS AND RARELY THE NEW The Doctor Temptation

Yeah, you guys feel the same way I do. After Bo got kicked out, things began to decline even faster. I'm not a fan of "Legacy". I didn't like the line-up or the music. The Phoenix Rising line-up actually put out three good CDs, and it shows because they were nominated and actually won grammys for those albums. GC Cameron wasn't a good lead singer in my book, and I didn't even bother to buy "Reflections". I really hope that Bruce can bring a new sound to the group, but his voice is so contemporary. He sings just like my cousin does at Church. He's miles away from the David/Dennis/Ollie sound, and this is a bad thing. I'm always gonna be a Tempts fan, but I'm starting to give up hope on this generation of Temptations. Over 40 years of frequent personnel changes are ENUFF!!

I liked Legacy personaly, reflections well besides how sweet it is and never can say goodbye i thought it wasn't that good......we can't judge this Bruce Williamson to much because we don't know much about him nor do we know how he well sound singing the songs...one thing is his is a much younger member then the rest i believe 37 ish which brings some young blood back to the group...guess we will see what will happen, we can judge what we don't know yet! Give the man a chance!

Change is the one thing that is consstent. No group of individuals stays together for very long. It's just human nature. You need to think of a "group" as a concept and the people as individuals who subscribe to that concept. In terms of harmonies and dance steps, the Temptations are unique.
Tale an orchestra. Does the NY Philhamonic stay with the same people.? I think not. But the quality remains. Does the Mormon Tabernacle Choir stay with the same individuals? no. But the quality remains the same.
Human nature being what it is, the Temptations change, but the quality remains. And the Tempts themselves should change the music they sing and the way they sing it.

You people haven't been on MySpace have you? The Temps Review and Dennis too have a HUGE fan club. Go to groups.myspace.com/TemptationsReview The Temps Review with Dennis, Ali, David, Mike and Chris are rolling right now. A lot of the young people recongnize both Dennis and Ali and have a much better connection with The Temps Review than they do with The Temps. I'm the fan club coordinator for The Temps Review and Dennis too and we have over 350+ members in the fan club. Join the fan club and be part of the fun. groups.myspace.com/TemptationsReview

Doc you are absolutely right!!!! After contemplating the matter there are a couple of things that jump right out at me. The philosophy has always reportedly been that no one man is bigger than the group. Seems to this fan that there is one exception Otis Williams. Well for once I'd like to see him swallow his pride and realize that the Temptations legacy is bigger than even he himself. Fact one Dennis Edwards deserves a whole lot more than to be traveling around rehashing memories with guys who weren't there when it happened. He was the signature voice for the group for how long?! After Eddie and Paul were gone it was Dennis and an unheralded cast of second rate singers (lead) that kept the flames alive. Hell he ddidn't have help after Eddie until Glenn came along. Ali Woodson deserves the same type of respect because he carried the group inspite of Richard and Ron being weak he didn't have help until Theo. What those two deserve Bruce Williamson doesn't he probably wont be a signature voice anymore than Terry Weaks. Ron doesn't even come close to representing what Temptations falsetto lore is all about. No its time for Otis to swallow his pride and realize that Ali, Glenn and especially Dennis need and deserve to be doing there thing with the genuine article. Time is winding down on our group and if they are to go out then the best way for them to do that is with a bang. what ever the dysfuntion between Otis and Dennis and Otis and ali is, is it bigger than the group? No it is not and never should have been. We are not talking the Spinners the Chilites, the Dells, the Manhattans the Dramatics etc. we are talking the one and only the originators of stylish, suave, sexy, and talented male groups The Mighty Mighty Temptations this cast Otis has purely sickens me. Otis its time do what you have to but bring the boys home do this thing right. Otis Williams Dennis Edwards, Ali Woodson, Glenn Leonard, and Joe Herndon yeah the Temptations

I remember I was playing their cd entitled "Hear To Tempt You" and Louis Price was singing lead, and I was asked is this new, and that supported my thinking that Louis Price definitely should be in the group.

That was a pretty good recording I especially liked Louis on Can we Come and Share in Love. He wasn't my favoriter lead singer but I did like his energy and enthusiasm. I'd take him over Terry in a New York minute though. At this point in time the only big news that could come concerning The Temptations would be the three guys I mentioned reuniting with the group or some other well known singer becoming the front man.

There is one gentleman that in my estimation could take The Tempts to new heights. He has the experience, the showmanship, and the pipes. "JOHNNY GILL"
