first we have this sorry lady who leaves a guy in her windshield to die while she goes off and has sex in the house. she gets 50 years in prison today. we also have this archbishop of phoenix who hit somebody with his vehicle, killed them, and ran off and told nobody and phoned in for his windshield to get fixed. he also had been supportive of the priests in his area who were under fire for the child molestation. what is it with folks these days! and believe me, greek wedding movie or not, windex isn't the answer!  i can see clearly now the rain is gone, i can see all obstacles in my way....CRASH!  MATT:24:12- ''and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.'' the basic regard of human life and decency seems to be slipping away rapidly. thank goodness we have decent folks on this board! |

I missed the part about the sex. ............... She testified to being on ex though. GRRRRR!!!!! ............ I mean on the one hand, I look at her and she looks to my like someone who didn't get a fair shake in life, so I feel for her ............. but she was on ex for crying out loud!!!!! There's no excuse for that!!!!!

So she got 50 years, huh? I was watching the trial the other day on court TV. That's a tough pill to swallow...stuff like this happens when you don't get help for yourself

she was on ex and drinking too!
she's eligible for parole in 25 yrs. her 2 accomplices that turned state's evidence got 10 yrs and 9 yrs.
the victim is eligible for nothing. :crying:

it just seems to get worse each day...   HICKORY, N.C. -- A Hickory man has been flown to Baptist Hospital after being set on fire by his wife, police said. Hickory police say Jeffrey Connor, 46, suffered third-degree burns over nearly 70 percent of his body. Investigators say Helen Connor, 40, doused her husband with gasoline and set him on fire at their home on 2nd Avenue Thursday morning. Police say this is the second time Mrs. Connor has set her husband on fire. Officers believe a domestic dispute led to the incident. She has been charged with assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. She is being held at the Catawba County Justice Center in Newton on a $100,000 secured bond. |

if this is the 2nd time he was set on fire-it's his fault! what the heck was he thinking by staying with her! he had to be out of his mind! how could he ever trust her -see- she did to him twice! if you get burned by somebody once, don't let them burn you twice! the article starts out -a hickory man- if it wasn't so sad i would've made a joke about him being hickory smoked. if this wasn't so tragic i would've joked that he was singing 'i'm on fire' by the tempts or great balls of fire by jerry lee lewis. her name's helen but she's aka hell-en. her middle name should've been ethyl. helen had a hearing problem and when jeff said that he was a kindred spirit she thought he said kindling.she was quoted as saying he was just an old flame and she wanted to re-ignite their romance. but this is no joking matter. it's terrible. when this woman told everybody she found her perfect match, normally they assumed she was referring to her husband. how awful. wicked people like that wife just burn me up. when the poor man was questioned by the police, he just said my wife was giving me the third degree. the authorities said that the man is lucky to be alive- if his wife was able to afford a whole gallon of gas he really would have had his goose cooked. i apologize for this awful mess. drastic measures are too frequently destroying familes and relationships and marriages and lives. uncalled for. |

Sounds like a hot time in old Hickory! ;D I better start sleepin with one eye open and a bucket of water by the bed at night. What happened to the Waiting to Exhale burn up the man's car or something. I guess that didn't get his attention but that hot gasoline did though!  |

he said it's bad enough to worry about job security and then to be FIRED twice by your own wife!

he told the police-i dropped my keys in the dark and all i asked her for was a light!

The windshield case is extremely sad. I think if she would have stopped and rendered aid to this man he probably wouldn't have died. Wasn't he alive for several days on her windshield?
