Sukka, on Smokey's "Get Ready" Ivory Stone, Pat Henley (I think that's her name), and I forget the guy's name are the main backup singers on most of Smokey's solo work, including that one.
You know, the voices on "The One Who Really Loves You" really do sound like the Spinners... that's a strong theory.

Except that the Spinners were still with Tri-Phi around that time. Even though Harvey Fuqua was going with Gwen Gordy, I don't know if the Spinners were moonlighting at Hitsville.
