Best song from David's solo career! temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif Ever since the day I first heard it, I've been in love with this song. David shows off hois beautiful range in this song and the instruments (especial that xylophone) are so catchy. Man, this song makes me wanna melt And as me and IRLM already said, that laugh after "you know how much I do..." at the beginning is a favorite And I love when he says "oh you're clingin to my tighter" Whewww!

Yes, he and Van McCoy put that song together very well. Disco beat in it, David's vocal powers singing, couldn't help but be a hit. One of his best, along with Statue and World Ended.

Yes, the song is great. Is It's David's best? I can't say. But Dave is a dynamo on it. It really fits him. I tend to think that Dave can't be written for or produced. I've always thought that Dave simply produces. He's the kind of guy who makes a song great. I don't think it has anything to do with the producers (a great majority of the time). If Dave sang the alphabet, it would the best soul version of the alphabet ever.
Now, "Walk away from Love" great, but my fave Dave song is "If Loving You Is Wrong."

Well of course everyone's gonna have their own opinion about whether or not it's David's best song, we all know that, but one thing's for sure, it's outstanding!!! I think it showcases his wonderful range and like IRLM said, he really sings his heart out. ANd he personalizes it so well, I don't think anyone else can top it.
Wait a minute Pimpey, I thought you said somethin else was your favorite Ruffin song? Are you changin up on me? ;D

That's the jam but then again the entire Who I Am album is excellent. If I worked for Motown/Universal I'd re-release it and send all yall a promo copy.
