Shout outs to ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Everybody)))))))))))))))))!
I really Enjoy (((Terry))) in concert. When he still had his leads, I would say "Go Terry", cause he Sizzled to me! At my "LYM AC concert in March 2001, when Terry took the mike, (((Jakki))) and I would put our pointer fingers together and make the "sizzle" sound. I know they have to rest Terry's voice, but I am disappointed that he is no longer singing "Papa" and "Confusion" I miss the three lead singers thing they had at the concerts when (((Barrington))) was in the group!! Now (((G.C.))) carries the weight of the concerts.
As far as the Temptations are concern, the fans want to hear the Classic songs that's how come it's so easy to just get rid of one singer and have another!! ((((Dennis))), (((Richard)) and (((Glen))))'s group can still get gigs, cause people want to hear the Classic Temptations songs. TTYAL!

iI think I see where you are coming from but the thing with the Tempts is that you come to the shows as much or more for the old songs as you do the new. When they step up to the Mike to sing Can't Get Next to You, Cloud Nine, Beauty is Only Skin Deep, I'm Losing You etc. you want to hear it sung in such a manner that you don't wish for the original. Unfortunately thats where Terry Weeks is inadequate. There wasn't a song that David or Dennis did that Ali coudn't do because he was truly a Temptation, sorry I just don't get that with Terry, no disrespect cause he can sing. Peace to all (" 'Temptin' yes we are, STILL-L-L temptin' yes we are...") Personally, I love to hear new Tempts interpret classic songs from the old days, just as jazz musicians do with classic tunes. I've heard "...Wish It Would Rain" sung live by David, Dennis, Ali, Terry and Bo (and Richard on tape) and they're all different and I enjoyed every one of them! Just as I've heard jazz classics played by so many musicians over the years. No one plays like Charlie Parker, or Miles, or Coltrane, or Duke,or Dizzy or Monk or Elvin Jones or Max, etc.,etc. etc. But individual renditions of classic tunes are also enjoyable for me (hey, Luther's version of "A House is Not a Home" is a classic by itself, and I love to hear The Tempts sing "The Christmas Song" even more than I do Nat King Cole - which is almost blasphemous to say for some) Terry Weeks is an outstanding singer and performer and the women really dig him (including my wife -Mrs. Temptsman). GC described Terry as "a VICIOUS singer", which is a compliment of high order. I miss Richard and thought him an outstanding Tempt who was like Paul in some ways but his own man and singer. Had Theo remained a Tempt he'd be blowing the roof off of joints by now, and he alternated between the Paul and David/Dennis spots on the line-up, which is no easy task! So now Terry is in that spot, and I dig him. I'm glad that he's still a Tempt. He's also younger than the current line'up and that helps bring a lemon twist to the new/oldTempts' sound! peace, T'Man

Hey -someone pass that nickname to Terry. Sinc he seems to like nicknames related to drinking like "Champagne and "45", then he could call himself "Lemon Twist". T'Man

Terry is, as I've said in one of my earlier posts, isn't a typical Temptations sounding vocalist. He really reminds me of Donny Hathaway and Freddie Jackson. He also has the kind of voice that could have given him a successful solo career if he had not become a member of the Temptations. I'd love to hear him sing 'A Song For You', the Donny Hathaway version - which is better than the Temptations' version. Just give him piano accomaniment and the mic. He does sound like Freddie Jackson!

Hi everyone, Terry is an awesome singer who doesn't take a back seat to anyone. He has excellent range, texture and voice control and is able to make a song his own and not sound like PAUL, RICHARD ,THEO or any of the others. LISTEN to the last song on the PHOENIX RISING album ''JUST LIKE I TOLD YOU'' TERRY is in excellent voice on that song with a lot of color added to his voice. I have also heard him sing ''SOME ENCHANTED EVENING''LIVE which was excellent, not ALI but very TERRY.I sing 1st and 2nd tenor myself so I know what to listen to .

Okay...my thoughts on Terry Weeks...first of all the man has this beautiful voice.... To hear him you can't help but to imagine what he is singing about right in front of you... He does something to me...his voice takes me away... obviously I like him... to see him perform is to see greatness...you can't help but be amazed at the presence he has...and all the ladies love him and finally, he has got to be the sweetest, most accommodating man I have ever met... He is very down to earth...and I'll stop drooling now... Terry Weeks is wonderful....

After one concert I was talking to the man who sat next to about how lovable Terry was. It turned out he had been Terry's high school teacher, and his response was that Terry had always been that way. And people who know him, as opposed to just meeting him, say he is just as nice in person as he appears in public.
In addition to his voice, in addition to his dancing, we are lucky to have a genuinely nice person in Terry Weeks.

I liked Terry's vocals on Phoenix Rising. His style reminded me of Donny Hathaway. But it seems that on the most recent albums, he started trying to sing with a rougher baritone edge. On some songs on "Legacy", it's almost hard to tell Terry and GC apart.
I'd prefer the Terry Weeks of 1998 who sung "False Faces" and "Just like I told you."
