You know ABA I always wondered why that show only stayed on for half a season. It was hilarious and I know a lot of folks watched it. I guess back then we didn't have the WB's and UPN's that help shows that mainstream America is not interested in.

That episode with 'Sweet Daddy Williams" was my favorite too! LOL I loved James' reaction when he came home from work and Florida was trying to tell him that Sweet Daddy sent them a refrigerator, but James interrupted and said: "Florida, I don't wanna hear a lot of yang-yang about no raggedy refrigerator". That whole week had great episodes. The two part miniseries of J.J. going to marry the girl played by Debbie Allen, followed by the Sweet Daddy episode, then the one where Thelma, Willona, and Florida dress up as the Supremes for Wanda's rent party, then the following week the episode of Florida going to the Japanese restaurant with her boss....some of the best episodes. My least favorite was the one right before James died...in fact, that whole season from the episode before James died to the appearance of Carl were just.........

Okay.......Diva you and I are going to have us and old fashioned Good Times party!!! You are so right those were great episodes. Especially the one with Sweet Daddy and Savannah LOL!!! I love this part......(Savannah) "And as for you bean pole you ought to know a lady when you see one".....(James) "Well when he sees one he'll paint one"......(Savannah) "Sucker"......(James) "Skank"!
Good Times lost all its flavor when they fired John Amos. They couldn't survive on "Dynomites" the way the writers thought they could. The show went from being in the top 10 to falling into the 20 and 30 percentile. That is why the writers wrote in the character Carl because the viewers liked the strong father figure of James but it wasn't the same. Those were pretty big shoes to fill.
And btw didn't Florida make you laugh out loud when she sang her part on "Stop In The Name Of Love" and James was shouting and hopping like that was Diana Ross singing on stage. ;D

Rollo!! Fred would say to Rollo when he comes in the house, "Yippee Yippee Yay! Look who got out of jail today!"
So ya'll ladies pushin' up on Rollo too? Man ya'll eating up brothers like M&M's!
I loved me some Baby, I'm Back. Kim you ain't old enough to know bout some Baby, I'm Back are you? I didn't know I really liked Demond Wilson until that show. Sometimes he would drive me crazy on Sanford with his whining.
Once after being beaten up by a jealous lover Lamont took up Karate. He told Fred it was the oldest form of self defense. Fred said no son you forgot running!!!! ;D ;D
And there were no better arguments on tv than those between Esther and Fred. You fish-eyed fool!!!! Shut up woman for I give you five of these cross your lips! Oh Glory! You old buzzard!!!
