You didn't know you were an African American holding a position of management in the NBA? Come on Aba, you need to read a little more often! Quit playing on the computer all day long! Since you have experience, you gonna help Ron manage the Tempts when he takes over? ;D

I knew it. I just didn't place the same importance on it that Mr. Ashe did when he wrote it. Or I didn't understand the significance of it when he wrote it. Remember I was living it and it doesn't become history until it passes. I was one of two black athletes at the Univ of Ga., one of two at the College Of Southern Idaho and while I was making this history that I didn't know I was making at the time, I was trying to go to school and be a pro ball player. It was only later that I realized that I was doing something special.
oh my managerial expertise is essential in keeping the The Temptations AO(After Otis) running like a smooth machine.

Edafan got lots. 30 friends and relatives over the house for a party. Believe it or not, no alcohol. We all choose to party sober. My son went to his 5th high schol reunion. I went also since I teach at the high shcool he went to. I couod only stand an hour of 23 year old gorgeous young women hugging and kissing me. O K it was only 10 minutes. But it was good tosee those kids since I knew them all the way through 12 grades and college years. They are great kids. And my son has 98% of his masters in chemistry done, and in 2 years he will have his dr in chem from Vanderbilt. I am married to the greatest human I know. 4 kids are all doing fine. 4 grandkids also. I gave away the lousy shirts and ties to my nephew. Don't tell on me. edafan and I love the great people at this board. Everybody go give yourselves a new years gift and see Standing in the Shadows of Motown movie. I'm going for the 2nd time tomorrow edafan

Edafan, I'd go see the movie, but to my knowledge, it's currently only playing in the inner city, and not in the suburbs where I live.
Sukka, I have lots of wonderful memories, pictures, and stories to share, and if you are interested, I will post the link to a new webpage when it's done.

Our Christmas was filled with blessings. A freaky thing happened here on Christmas Eve - a bolt of lightning hit a huge tree in our yard about 11 AM that day and also singed the gutters, cable wires etc. on one side of our house. It fried the digital cable box, my computer speakers, 2 telehones, a 13 inch TV, and the impact of it hitting the tree caused the water lines under the house to burst. The blessing was that no MAJOR damage was done - the house is fine and we were not hurt. I had been outside feeding my dog less than 1 minute before the lightning hit. I thank God that we were still able to celebrate Christmas in our home - with all of our family here. I got a great travel bag, gift certificates, a couple of outfits and shoes, sweaters, etc. But-my favorite present was the trip to Atlantic City this weekend to see the Tempts in concert. ;D ;D

tdalgalpal- thanks be to Heavenly Father for saving you! CHARLOTTE should now be called CHARRED ALOT! CHRISTMAS was saved at your home! hooray! we went to the wild animal park- beautiful lights, conti had her sledding and threw snowballs at me, we saw flamingoes, ducks, monkeys, porcupines, baby deer, and conti had her face painted with a present wrapped up. we listened to a quartet of 1890's dressed carolers and road the tram twice. the music piped in was still holiday tunes. they had a Christmas tree made out of stuffed animals in the entrance-and if you bought them, they would donate the money to children's charities. EDAFAN- my dear bro- it was so nice to hear of your lovely celebration. i hope that you have a wonderful blessed new year ! DIVA- i would love to see the link to your memorable experiences !
