Ivory, I certainly get the joke about the bread an milk craze at the grocery stores here in Charlotte. It is HILARIOUS the way Southerners prepare for a 1" blizzard! Here is a pic of the MONSTER snowfall in Charlotte! You think we'll ever be able to dig out? BRRRR! It got down to 11 degrees this morning - a RECORD low! It is [glow=red,2,300]COLD[/glow] in the South this weekend. It's even cold in Florida today.

What, were you expecting 11, like 1998/1999 (What year was that with all the snow). Now that was fun! Well, for me it was at least! I wonder how cold it is outside. But I'm not even going near that door!

We were expecting between 5 and 8". We had the "Storm of the Century" in 1993 and that was fun... it was a March storm too that gave us like a foot. Then the "Blizzard of '96" that left like another foot. Then when I was in school in early 2000 we had the back to back storms that left 18" south of Richmond. We had a foot in Fredericksburg. That one was fun! Nothing happened in 1998/1999. I had a thunderstorm on my birthday in 1999 the first time in my whole life! It was warm and I hated that!

You're cursing me! Spring is the time for warmth! I have a growing appreciation for spring and fall... I love fall more than spring because spring can be a nasty season here.

sukkafu - you're prayers worked. It was a beautiful, sunny day in Charlotte for the King Holiday. 61 degrees! Great day for the parade and all the festivities honoring Dr. King.
