I've had no luck trying to find out where Ali is appearing in Austin and San Antonio. Anyone know the venue for his gospel play in these cities.

Maybe Ivory knows. Just saw his play will be appearing in Austin, July 26th&27th. And in San Antonio, July 28th. Where at is not available, maybe Ivory knows the answer to that question. Or you can check ticketmaster.

Thanks, I've done ticketmaster, also called the chamber of commerce in both cities. I'm hoping someone who lives in one of those cities has heard radio ads for the play, or can at least tell me what radio stations I might be able to call.
Jonel, you can find anything..this should be an easy task ;D

Hey (((((dsf)))))! Glad to SEA you finally over here! Yeah, the radio stations, that would be my only suggestion, calling them. Did you see him on PBS the other night with Aretha, what did you think? Oh, this gentleman, www.mauricewatts.com/ is the bass singer in Ali's group. Maybe if he doesn't know, he might be able to point you in the right direction....

LOL..Yep..finally made it over Will spend the day tomorrow calling every radio station I can find in both cities, was hoping there might be a better answer. Can't decided if it's worse knowing he's this close, and I can't find him, or just never getting any details about his shows. Got those dates off the web site you posted, so am guessing that's all the info he has. You know I was home glued to the TV ;D. He looked and sounded fantastic (as always), except you know me, I'd rather he was forty pounds thinner Kalisa told me I'm crazy, but then you already knew that. If all else fails, I'll just head south, and check out all the 'ice machines' in both cities

Well, I really hate to say this (hold on, let me put down my fatty slice of pizza so I can type) but was it just my imagination or has he gained a little weight? I mean, within the past year or so? I know he has gained weight obviously since the 80's. Also, when Theo was on Sally he looked a little heavier too. *I've* lost some weight so I'm thinking maybe my eyeballs have gotten skinnier and therefore the two of them look heavier ;D
And don't get me wrong, I spend most of my time wishing I could sit on Big Mista O's lap and give Dennis a big ole bear hug, and YOU know I always think it's better for a man to be too big than too skinny, so it doesn't bother me if they HAVE, I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed.

I thought Ali looked AWESOME!! I'd seen some pictures where he looked a little bloatedly hefty, and he looked slimmer to me the other nite than those pics.
must be your "skinny eyes" :-P

Now wait a minute, I didn't say that Ali was TOO fat. I just thought that there was "more of him to love" than usual. You know *I* don't believe in TOO fat. I'm the girl who's greatest fantasy involves O and Dennis and a box of ........ heh heh

David Sea is the bench mark for PERFECT ;D Anyone heavier than that is too big, and the only people thinner than him was Ruffin and Eddie. But..Ali is damn close to perfect

I LOVE Ali, he's the only person alive I'd even compare to Mr. Sea. Am even willing to sit thru three gospel shows if I can just find them And just to SEA if my two buddies are awake..'Hoops of Fire' is my favorite Ali song ;D Not that he's ever done a bad one!!!!!

Hoops of Fire huh? Ok, whatever. You get all kind of respect for sitting through ANY of those shows! I hear the COMMERCIALS and I change the station. Hate those things! Just want to offer up *MY* ideal of physical perfection when it comes to the Tempts. Big surprise here... Darn, I got to get some better photos of that man.
