Well Diva, what I was talking about would involved setting up a thing where you could hear all Tempts tunes all the time, if I did that, I'm looking at having to pay a fee to the publishers, that is, if they took the time to catch me. Turns out you CAN link the Yahoo radio thing to your web site, but I'm not pleased with the frequency that it's playing Tempts songs. You have to choose a genre and so far I'm getting MOSTLY that genre and almost no Tempts.

Ok, I feel like singing, let's see if I can do this...
As I walk through the valley where I harvest my grain I take a look at my wife and realize she's very plain, but that's just perfect for an Amish like me, you know I shun fancy things like electricty. At 4:30 in the morning I'm milking cows, Jebbidia (sp?) feeds the chickens and Jacob plows, FOOL! And I've been plowin' and milkin' so long that even Ezekiel (sp??) thinks that my mind is gone. I'm a man of the land, I'm into discipline. Got a Bible in my hand and a beard on my chin. But if I finish all of my chores and you finish thyne then tonight we're gonna party like it's 1699!
LOL, ok, just felt like doing that. I'll save you from suffering through the rest of the song!

Down in the workshop all the elves were makin' toys For the good Gentile girls and the good Gentile boys When the boss busted in, nearly scared 'em half to death Had a rifle in his hands and cheap whiskey on his breath From his beard to his boots he was covered with ammo Like a big fat drunk disgruntled Yuletide Rambo And he smiled as he said with a twinkle in his eye, 'Merry Christmas to all - now you're all gonna die!'
The night Santa went crazy The night St. Nick went insane Realized he'd been gettin' a raw deal Something finally must have snapped in his brain
I like Weird Al. I wonder when he'll come out with a new album?

davidhero.diaryland.com/000729_9.htmlThat has more accurate lyrics... I agree more with these than the other site. The other one had the radio edit and this one has the extra lines from the club mix. The first time I heard this song, Chris Rock was beginning his tour here and was on the radio. He said that song was just plain "ig'nant." ;D

I like that "It's Cold" song, Sukka!
Ivory, what "genre" was that? Oldies R&B or just plain oldies?
If I had to choose between R&B Oldies and just regular oldies, I'd choose R&B oldies, because regular oldies plays too much of the same thing. As long as the R&B oldies station would play mostly 60s and 70s, no 80s please.

it's funny that you mention the eighties. i feel the eighties had some great songs, but i emphasize SOME. same with the 90's, even less today. the eighties seemed to be the age of overkill with synths and drum machines. the 90's seem to be the ''diva'' overdramatizing songs to the point of suicide. today seems to be the culmination of everything lifted from other songs with a rap added to it. they'd probably do it to the national anthem. 50's,60's,70's. i can live with that.
