Richmond only! I didn't like Philly. I spent a week there during the 1995 heatwave and MAN it was then I think I knew I hated excessive heat. And where I stayed didn't have AC! I'd love to get some Philly chessesteak though. YUMMY!!!! But Richmond's the place to be. Va's the only place for me.

I turned in a project that I did on Richmond today. I know these Georgia folks are tired of hearing about Virginia... oh well
I remember hot days in Alabama with no air conditioning. And all the fans did was blow around hot air. Thankfully, most of my folks have an A/C now!

yesterday we had a record hot day for january 31st-it was 91 degrees in carlsbad by the beach! the warmest january in san diego in over 100 years! sadly, we need rain and we have a drought. but today was absolutely beautiful- 80ish and sunny. we went to balboa park and did our monthly puerto rican meeting -today we had free salsa lessons and ate lots of good food-had 20 new members -lots of young people 16-25! you should've seen constance doing salsa steps! ;D

You know... I often wondered why people are in such a hurry to get rid of winter with the whole Groundhog Day... we don't have a day in the Dog Days of something saying cooler weather will or won't come soon. When I am burning up and absolutely miserable, no one complains that it's 90+ degrees out. Dry heat or not. I'm too warm blooded... probably a combination of weight and spherocytosis... Today was supposed to be 61.. it'll be maybe 58. I will be happy if I get one good snowfall here before winter is over. Between 1990 and 1995 I had flurries on my birthday. I would have had them for my birthday in 1996 if it had not been a Leap Year . That was the last time. Then by 1999 I saw my first sever thunderstorms on my birthday. I so do not look forward to spring. That is one deadly season.
