Why wouldn't David Ruffin's kids want to see Leon? Because of the lawsuit?

Speaking of Leon, I happened to see him last night in a movie, I don't know the name of it because I didn't see it all, but he was in a room with a woman, she was light-skinned w/ curly ringlets and her boyfriend called her room just as she and Leon were getting into bed, but she told Leon that it was her friend, however, he didn't believe her. Does anyone know what movie this was?
