Vegas sounds like a winner... It's 'kinda' middle ground for most of us and we should be able to get good deals on airfare and hotels. Let's keep watching on Ron's website for their tour schedule and start arranging our calendars appropriately. I'm excited already!!  |

it would be nice to get vegas rooms -dirt cheap .
with the competition from a/c and the indian casinos and reno and laughlin and the riverboat gambling and the lotteries, vegas is putting on a major push with big discounts. not too long ago i had a nice room at the hilton for 22 bucks a night.

Are the Tempts going to be at the JazzFest this spring?
You mentioned them being in New Orleans in the spring. The JazzFest doesn't officially release their schedule till February. However, I do know the Temptations are frequently, if not always, there.

What have you got to see?
Ivory, New Orleans announced they were adding another day, Thursday, April 24th to their JazzFest schedule. It runs to May 4th. I see the Tempts have blocked off April 24th and April 29th, but I don't know what that means.
New Orleans says it won't release Fairground or Evening Concert Schedules till March. I think it means they won't even make the schedules until then.
Years and years ago when I saw the Tempts, it was at the Fairgrounds and the tent was packed, really packed. And it was HOT. But, oh, they were good. It was in the late '70's, and I guess if I looked it up I could find the exact date.

Now this is a show I can attend!!  I love New Orleans and this is the perfect time of year to be there because its not too hot not to mention it's just a hop skip and a jump away from me. Wow that would be wonderful if we can all meet up! |

The Tempts will be at the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ on April 24th, at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY April 25-26 at at Ceasars in Lakeville, PA April 29th. You can keep up with their tour dates here: www.rontyson.addr.com/tourdates.html |

Since the JazzFest is from April 24-May 4th, the Tempts may not be at the New Orleans JazzFest this year. They looked pretty booked up around that time period. I believe they were there last year. However, there is also an Essence JazzFest around July 4th in New Orleans.

I wonder if they have ever played New Brunswick, NJ before. I've been to the State Fair Theatre once. I saw my man "Hawk" from Spenser For Hire perform there in a play. I know he was on Star Trek but he will always be Hawk to me.
New Orleans is good to me!
