Look in your spam folder. If its not there, then its probably gone. Also, I dont see a box anymore to check if you want to be notified of reply's. Now it says Check this box if you wish to bookmark this thread. Whatever that means

did you try going to your messages.. clicking on the Preferences... then check the alert by email thingy of a new message? maybe it defaulted to off an ya have to reset it? I was having message problems last night.. with the reply, quote stuff not coming up... and clicking on the ghosty thing of you have 1 new message.. it kept saying invalid when I would click on the ghosty box.....

I think that is notification of a new private message.

Yah, I'm not seeing an option to "notify me of replies in this thread" anymore like there used to be. I guess your option is to 'bookmark' (so you can keep adding to the bazillion bookmarks already in your favorites LOL!) to go directly to the thread and see for yourself if there are new replies.
In the IM box, there is a new option to 'alert me of new private messages' (under preferences). You will get a grey popup window telling you who it is from and asking if you want to go to the latest message, when you sign on the board.

So, Is bookmarking the answer to the question?? Is there a moderator that can answer?? I really don't know what the 'bookmark' function does, Gua. I'm playing with it now to try to find out.

So, Is bookmarking the answer to the question?? Is there a moderator that can answer?? EUREKA, Gua!! I am not a moderator nor do I play one on TV... BUT 1. book mark the threads you are interested in or posting to. 2. Go to your profile. There will be the word "bookmarks" next to "Members Bio - Modify Profile - Bookmarks". Click on Bookmarks. 3. There will now appear a list of the threads you have bookmarked. Along the top gray title bar way on the right, the words "manage bookmarks" appears in deep burgundy, smallish print. Click that. 4. You can select which ones you want, choose the type of notification, and you can also, at the bottom of that section, reset the default for ALL bookmarked threads, which is defaulted to 'no notification', change this to email or pm notification. Voila!! ;D Update... even if you have no threads currently bookmarked, you still have that bookmark thing in your profile, and when you click on that, it will tell you that you have none, but you can reset the default for notification, so all you have to do from then on is bookmark the threads you're interested in.

Kalisa, You go girl , this should have been explained to us once the site was upgraded. Thanks for spending the time to do this!! Yah, it would have been nice if Proboards had let anybody know. I had to search thru three pages of support questions before finding this out, and then play with it some more. It is NOT intuitive (IMO), and way over the top complicated wise... I mean there are too many steps and you have to know where to find them... easy once you know all those little details but still too many steps. p.s. I don't use the bookmarks or notifications, so let me know if it actually works LOL!!
