Does anyone know what those chewy flavored taffy bars were called? They came in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla I think...hmmm, were they French Chews??? I can think of a lot of my favorites by taste and memory, but some of the names have got me in a CRS moment. :bonk:

for some fun, listen to will smith's 1997 cd that has a song ''candy'' with cameo singing with him and he does a nice job mentioning snickers, charleston chews, kitkat, reese's pieces, etc.

Thanks Peach...as much as I used to LOVE that stuff back in the day, here lately those type sweets have left my palate, thank goodness. It's amazing how that sweet tooth declines as we mature, I still LOVE my chocolate on occasion though.

I hate to admit this, but my sweet tooth has *not* declined with age. We had a "Spring Party" on Sunday, family tradition, and the kids broke a pinata. Anna brought home a ton of candy, and guess who is eating most of it? Poor little girl won't see much of that haul........... I *miss* all the candy of my youth....and if it was available, you can bet I would buy it still. Granted, I wouldn't sit and eat a whole bag of Twizzlers, but I do have a nice "emergency stash" available for cravings. That Old Time Candy site rules! There is another one, I think it's the California Candy Company? And in the Bronx, a fabulous HUGE candy store but I can't remember the name of it!! I saw it on "Unwrapped." I must make a pilgrimage!
