Ivory, I agree!
It should be against the law for someone who doesn't know how to count money to count out the drawer after the store closes. I work (part-time) in a cosmetics shop and most of the time, I am scheduled to work in the evening. There are usually two of us in the store at the end of the day and there is one particular co-worker who takes FOREVER to count the money. So, lately, whenever I close the store with her, I've been asking her if I can count the money. I'm not trying to be rude, but everyone is tired and wants to go home at the end of their work shift and the soonerm the better.

in a cosmetics store- counting the money- that's the beauty of it! ;D if you are kind and sensitive to your co worker, then i see nothing wrong in assisting that person as long as they don't feel like ''oh, i must not be perceived as being able to handle the job''. i can't see you making anybody feel bad, diva!

People who don't take care of their pets responsibly should be sent to jail for ever and ever. Take the case of this woman who was killed by a "pit bull" in New York........ www.nytimes.com/2003/05/19/nyregion/19MAUL.html?ex=1054008000&en=ce846384da70f5d0&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLEWell, it's not the dog's fault, it's not even it's present owners fault because she rescued him from a shelter two weeks ago. It's the fault of whomever taught or allowed that dog to be so aggressive to begin with. I get SO disgusted by these men with these little woo-woos who have to over compensate by having a big, mean, attack dog. Mr. Ivory raises American Staffordshire Terriers, a breed considered in the "pit bull" family and those dogs are like POODLES he's trained them so well, they wouldn't harm a fly. I don't own dogs, but I know from my cats that you can train animals to do pretty much whatever you want or don't want them to do. It's just a shame because SOMEONE is responsible for TWO lives lost, the life of the woman and the life of the dog. Of course none of that compares to the visciousness of my two cats. I mean, if you get too close to them, they just might make you sneeze!!! ;D

although i read the article and see how the owner was not expecting this attack- it was a pit bull.
it's like the story of the rattlesnake who begged the guy to help him down the hill. the man said no, you're a rattle snake. the snake promised not to bite him, so after a few pleadings and coaxings, the guy carried the snake downhill. when they reached bottom, the man let the snake go and the snake bit the man, the stunned guy asked , why did you bite me- you promised! the snake replied- you knew what i was when you met me.

Again, like I said, Mr. Ivory owns American Staffordshire Terriers, dogs considered to be "pit bulls." The worst thing they're gonna do is lick you to death, actually, not even that because he keeps them so ............. well, it's like they're little doggie soldiers. They don't move unless he says so.
Cats are supposedly untrainable, yet mine don't scratch the furniture, come when I call them and one of them even fetches. As long as the animal has a somewhat developed brain, you can train them to act right.

Cats are supposedly untrainable, yet mine don't scratch the furniture, come when I call them and one of them even fetches. As long as the animal has a somewhat developed brain, you can train them to act right. I think cats are very intelligent, but very willful. My cat knows what is right and wrong, but does things behind my back. ;D A very sneaky girl.... she also plays fetch! I had one other cat that did that. It was a way to keep him away from me when I was on the phone and he wanted to nuzzle and bite on the antenna. It surprised me when he brought the ball back! (It was a rolled up ball of tin foil.) The cat I have now likes to fetch drinking straws and this little cat head called "Choco-Cat." I find stashes of straws all over the house. She also comes when called..... sits on your lap....licks you....looks out the window to see what is going on when she hears someone coming (like a "watch cat.") Oh, and begs for tuna when I open the can to make something with it.... and chews too much stuff, as well. (Ate my daughter's *entire* yo-yo string....scary situation....) I love my cat. ;D Peach

Regarding American Staffordshire Terriers and Pit Bull Terriers (I think I saw each particular one in a dog show, so they are two totally different dogs), my brother and sister-in-law raise, I believe, the former. They have a male and a female, and both are very sweet and extremely loyal. The only thing I *will* say is this.... they have *incredibly* strong jaws. Although their nature is NOT to bite, if they were teased and did bite, it would be much worse than say, a wimpy dog without the strong jaw. (And then, I have to say, a lot of dogs will bite when provoked.) It's all in how they are raised....... they have a bad reputation, and it's mostly because, where my brother and sister-in-law live, it's incredibly common for them to be raised as "fight dogs" used for money making. Peach, I think we need to start a "pets" thread! The way I understand it is that Pit Bull Terriers are a breed and Staff. terriers are a breed but "Pit Bull" is a type of dog, and both of them fall under that description. I was talking to Mr. Ivory about it today. He said of all his dogs, he had one that tried to bite him and it soon became the victim of "lead poisoning." Kinda like with Tony Soprano, that's one of those things that you don't ask for him to elaborate on. But apparently he eventually put the dog down. Diva, no, my cats are viscious to everyone. One time, someone came over and they got TOO close and one of my cats got fur ALL over his pants legs!!! Like I said, VISCIOUS animals!!! ............... Mr. Ivory jokes that the Army needs to stop looking for chemical weapons in Iraq, they can find all they want in the cats litter box, but one of them has a digestive problem, poor thing, he can't help it!!! ;D Angel! That's the truth!!! My mother HATES that!!! Self, it should be against the law for people at fast food joints to be pissy too!!!! I mean, if you want to hate your job fine, but don't ruin my sunshine day because of it!!!
