Whoa, what a thread...I can name so many celebs that just straight up irk my nerves. Some 4 valid reasons, others not so valid. Hey Kalisa...I'm surprised you didn't hear about it. There was a big stink about it in the press and everything. Angela was supposedly happy 4 Halle's win...but she said something 2 the effect that the role in Monster's Ball was offered 2 her first...but she turned it down because she didn't want 2 play the role of a prostitute, that it was degrading, in her opinion and she had higher standards than that...Halle had asked Angela prior to taking the part if she should do it, and Angela was like "yeah, go for it". Now these 2 are supposed to be friends. How you gonna dis your friend publicly like that? And how does Angela think she's better than someone else because she chose not 2 take a certain role? Gimme a break, please...  Now don't get me wrong....Angela has always been one of my fav actresses. I still think she's one of the best out there and yes, I think she should have won the Best Actress Oscar for her role as Tina Turner in '93...but it seems 2 me that she's still bitter because she didn't. And now that Halle turned out to be the first AA actress to win that award, there4 making history...those comments kind of reek of jealousy 2 me. Don't be mad because Halle won and you didn't. She took a chance and it paid off. Not that I think that MB was all that good, but Halle proved that she was an actress that had a little more depth to her...personally I thought she had improved greatly when she did Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. |

Its easy for a beautiful well-dressed, well educated, well-spoken person/woman to PLAY a beautiful, well dressed, well educated, well-spoken person/woman. Acting is about getting outside your own persona...at least that's what I thought.  |

Maybe Angela was talking about Billy Bob's character buying her all that stuff and letting her live with him after she got evicted from her home. Still doesn't sound like being a hooker to me. Sounds more like things a man would do for his woman if she were in trouble...and that's all I saw it as...people tend to read more into things than what is really there. I was really disappointed in Angela for that.  The least she could have done was speak to Halle 1-on-1 about how she really felt instead of airing her feelings in a national magazine for the world to read...very tacky and yes, definitely sour grapes on her part. Yeah, that dress Halle wore was off the hook!! Just beautiful. She has excellent fashion taste! |

i really would like to read that article where angela talks about that.. but as far as halle's win for monster's ball..  .. that definitely wasn't oscar worthy.. neither was denzel's performance for training day.. i mean the man played malcolm x and he wins for training day and yes angela is a very talented actress.. that's ma girl  if she was jealous.. she shouldn't have been.. im sure just like any other award shows.. some awards are given out frivilously.. she GOTS the talent.. period. anywho.. on topic.. celebs who annoy me.. christina aguilera nick lechey and jessica simpson pharrell |

Jessica Simpson! I sometimes happen to watch this show on MTV "Newlyweds" and Jessica is so silly there!!! ;D Like, she says she can`t cook at all, because she`s never done it before and also she can`t say the difference between taste of fish and chicken... That guy of hers is a little strange too, walking around the home with his cap on the head all the time... Yep. I think it's called exhibitionism ... ;D when I arrived at the U of Ga, they had cameras follow me around everyday for a month to document my being the the first african american at the school. I didn't like it but after a while I sometimes forgot they were there....now I would pay to have a copy of that film................. |
