>>clean cut law abiding God fearing men seem to have no chance against thugs, druggies, gang bangahs, and the circus freaks from the springer show.>>
See, that's why I posted the picture of Lenny Mayes. I am in no way attracted to druggies, thugs, ghetto-fabulous wannabe wrappers, alt-rocking punks, or Satanist Freaks! They aren't natural looking, they are trying to be someone they aren't.

Uhhh, Sukka, can you not SEE how cut up that man (Lenny K) is?!!!!! He is RIPPED!!! Now THERE'S a man who stays away from the Krispy Kremes!!! You should admire him. Sukka, don't forget Ali has, or had, an earring AND at one point in the late seventies, had orange hair. And you don't GET more masuline than him.

I'm not a big fan of the buff ones. What I admire most in guys is their intelligence, the way they treat people, and their sense of humor. If it's a singer, HIS VOICE! ;D
>>lenny sure can sing! he's alright!>> Which Len? Mayes, right?
I believe Lenny M. got his ear pierced in either the late eighties or early nineties, when the earrang thang was starting to become hip. He's the only old school singer I've seen with the long earring, which is why I call him the Earrang Man. Most singers wear the hoop or the stud, but Lenny M. just HAS to be different.

valleyvalgalpal-when i looks at the man, i agree with your big yellow headbanger, and not you little yellow guy on the right!LOL! LOL!! "clean cut law abiding God fearing men seem to have no chance against thugs, druggies, gang bangahs, and the circus freaks from the springer show. "I'm attracted to the insides of a guy before I give a hoot about what he looks like. ;D Ironically, sometimes the clean shaven, presentable guys I've tried dating turn out to be egotistical characters more in love with themselves, their wants and needs than anyone else. And a lot of clean looking dudes are pushing drugs and raising hell too, likewise Lenny-looking guys can have Masters Degrees, reverence for God and faith, and can be basically good people. "I like his songs, his talent is not in question, but it amazes me for what passes as attractive these days...Part of my attraction to Lenny K. is his Prince/Jimmi Hendrix songwriting genius vibe. If he was some guy off the street, I don't think I'd dig him w/o knowing what his personality was like (well, his musical personality, I don't actually know the guy. Tho' I'd love to. ). "…do we know what women and men really like or does media dictate our consciences? "When media isn't dictating our conscience, social convention and peer association is. Social convention suggests people who look like Lenny K are likely drug addicts or suspected felons. That same convention assumes "regular looking" people aren't shady in any way. But then…Ted Bundy was able to charm 30+ women before he killed nearly all old them b/c he was a clean cut and seemingly non-threatening fellah. Bottom like is, when it comes to admiration for superstars, it's mostly fantasy. Personally, the stars I ogle over usually aren't like the people I date, or socialize with. You can never go wrong with just getting to know somebody, no matter what they look like.

i agree that man looketh at the appearance, but God looketh upon the heart ! i am not sayin' that clean outside means clean inside but i can say that a person with tattoos tells me they don't respect their bodies. lenny has dabbled in drugs. he has divorced. this tells me he lacks commitment and his ex wife does too. the way his house looked i wouldn't raise my kids in it- it's loud, ugly, waste of money on garish colors, and it shows pride and arrogance to me - things i wouldn't want my children or any body to pick up. i am impressed with the tempts because they don't flash their bodies as a cover for lack of talent like britney or some others. the tempts flash their talent and their clothes cover their bodies but don't make them any less ''sexy''.

Vally and Sukka, I agree with both great points you posted on this board. This thread should be called Lenny Mayes vs. Lenny Kravitz or Clean-cut men vs. Crazy rock star punkish guys
So here's what I think. The entertainers that wear all the crazy stuff are usually the most famous. They have so much money that they don't know what to do with it, which is why they spend it on psychedelic-looking houses, drugs, etc. Success gets to them and many of them are not well-grounded. I don't know any of these entertainers in person, but I've heard many stories about what these singers do these days. Now of course not all clean-shaven guys are respectful, and some of them are definitely arrogant and self-centered. I don't judge MEN by appearance, but with entertainers, WHATCHA SEE IS WHATCHA GET. Looks say a thousand words when it comes to singers. And so do their voices. Lenny M. just happens to be a gorgeous, terrific singer PLUS 1/5 of one of my favorite groups, and I thought it would be fun to compare him with Lenny K. because they are so different. Sukka, you are right that "sexy" does not always mean a buff body and baring all. The male entertainers that I find "sexy", many people wouldn't...but it's all a part of personal taste.
