Thank you ery much for you expertise. I really like the concept but since I don't have to save room in my luggage when I travel.......Mrs ABA does that.........I can carry as many cds as i want. I'm really just starting to undertand a lot of the new technology. It's not like I don't have any expirence in the field but a lot of it is coming very fast now and I haven't had a chance to really see how effective what we are using now is. Like Mike I curious as to how you connect a turntable to yur computer. ;D

LOL Aba.. I don't have to save room in my luggage when I travel.......Mrs ABA does that.. spoken like a true MAN!! Mr. Kalisa would identify Ok, get ready for some real techie talk here. To hook up turntable to computer, you will need 1. Turntable 2. Gizmo that lets you pick a source (I don't know what its called, but mine also has a radio dial on it, and volume control) 3. A level place near your computer not cluttered with misc. papers, utensils, headphones, pens, floppies etc. 4. A whatchacallit jack that plugs into the back of your computer and into your gizmo, to connect them. (The guy at Radio Shack will know, if you tell him what you want to do) 5. A program that lets you record from your turntable to your computer in audio formats, including wav, mp3 and a bunch of others I have no clue about. I use a program called "Cool Edit", it was about $45.00. This was a while ago I did this, there are probably others either better or cheaper out there. By the way, you can also use the whatchacallit jack to record the sounds from VHS or DVD, that's what I did with Smokey doing "You Really Got a Hold On Me" at the Apollo in '63. I don't remember if I needed the Gizmo to accomplish that.

Kalisa, you forgot to include the most important step (at least at my house) "shut the kitty cats out of the room so they don't jump on the turntable" Here's more to add to Kalisa's wonderful description.... www.techtv.com/callforhelp/howto/story/0,24330,3333231,00.html
