Yes he should!!!!
Or, he could just give his six CD playing SUV to Ivory and then get a NEW 12 CD SUV instead.
That sounds like the easiest solution to me!

I vote "Nope", Mike. Aren't they making auto CD players that also play CDs in .mp3 format? You can get every good song the Temptations ever did on one or two cd's and not have to hassle with pre-loading a changer. If such a thing is not yet available for cars, a regular mp3 player with a "car kit" available at any radio shack or Circuit City, is the way to go until they DO. I hate multi-disc changers in cars . If I upgrade my single cd-player, it will have to be to one that plays mp3's.

I can't tell the difference in sound quality from songs I have burned on CD in regular audio format and in mp3 (data) format. If you have a CD burner, you can burn mp3's. Portable CD/mp3 players run from relatively cheap to relatively expensive, depending on features. They all have the capability of being plugged into a home audio system so you can run your music for hours and hours without messing with changing CD's. I forgot to mention that to do the 'car kit' thing with a portable mp3 player, you need a cassette player in your car. My new Highlander came with one (Toyota is nice that way ...) but I know a lot of newer cars don't have cassette players any more. It would be worth checking if they have the cd/mp3 player systems for cars available yet. I think they might.

Ok so my expedition has a cassette and the kit you refer to has a cartridge you slide into the cassette to make the mp3 work, right? Isn't that how they did the cd thing before they started putting them in all the cars?
To record all my music on an mp3 from my home audio system would not be a problem? How does that work? K2 you said I could run my mp3 through my home audio system but you didn't mean record from that system also?
I have a 6pack in the truck with an extra cartridge for 6 more. Now with the mp3 I can go to any track just like a cd? I must admit it is interesting.
