I like Paul's lead on "What's So Easy For Two Is Hard For One" on this two-disk collection. Interesting to read the background of these recordings. Also interested to discover how many songs the Tempts often recorded in one day. Love the Temptations' work ethic.
Can't help contemplating the psychology behind Norman Whitfield's having three or more different artists record the same song. Of course, when "Grapevine" resulted in two #1 hits, one can't fault the logic. Although if I were one of the artists, I might feel a bit disgruntled.
One can't help but compare the results of hearing different artists sing the same song.
Anyone else buy and listen to this collection? If so, love to hear your opinions.

I've really been enjoying it. Of course my FIRST thought on a quick run-thru was how obvious it was why the Tempts version of "(Loneliness made me realize) its You That I need" beat out Eddie Holland's for release LOL! No contest! Did you happen to get a glitch between the "My Girl" (Marvin) and "Truly Yours" (Tempts), the last two songs on the first Disc? I described it in the listening room, on mine it cuts off "My Girl" early, then resumes it as the beginning of the next track, which is "Truly Yours".
