Richard goes back as far any anybody. I would like to read his book too. He was working in some of the other departments as well as singing background for others and his insight would be great to have.

As far as we know, Richard has a book *almost* ready for publication. But I don't reject anybody who can give us a different slant or view of the whole Tempts history. And it still wouldn't make Otis's work any less valid a source of information  , just more varied viewpoints. IMO. |

I see what you are saying but do we base what we know on Otis book? Since when? I don't think we take Otis book as the one and only source of information regarding the TEmptations but it is a source I would take before any other only becuase he was there. DIdn't say I believe everything.....but over any other artist who wrotea bout them was not a Temptation.............absolutely. When we get something from anyone else who was with them on a daily basis, then we'll have something to compare. Its like saying David Ruffin never missed a show. Well he didn't miss one that I saw.....but according to other sources he missed some..........until someone in the group writes something contrary to Otis Williams book.....then his book will be number 1 and all others come after as second hand info. Many want to beleive what others say simply because they don't want their personal favorite's name sullied. Life is what it is and all five of these men had their own demons so unless someone who was there writes something better.................And I want to read someone's else's book so I can see for myself if it fits what I believe to be the story of the group. |

Richard's book will rule. My wife and I have been waiting a long time. Were going to buy two copies when it comes out. One for each of us. Dennis should write a book as well. I'm sure he has many stories to tell. The song for you album was one of the groups greatest recordings.
