:yourrock THE BEST ALBUM FROM THE LINE-UP OF OTIS, DENNIS, MELVIN, RICHARD & DAMON. This album was their best. Dennis excelled on this LP. The only sour note on the album "A Song for You" was the fact that Damon Harris had no lead songs :bs best songs were: 1. A song for you 2. Memories 3. Firefly 4. The Prophet 5. Glasshouse "Q"

Damon had a line on "The Prophet." Oddly enough that's one of my favorite Temptations songs.

Yes, I was listening to this album the other day and was wondering where Damon was... I could hear him, but why didn't he have more on this album? "The Prophet" is my favorite song on it too. But are you sure this was after he got on Gordy's bad side? Or was this the beginning of a Dennis Era?

I see what you are saying but do we base what we know on Otis book? Since when? Do we have any evidence to the contrary, do discredit what Otis wrote, on this point? (i.e. does damon have any leads on the album? etc.)

Do we have any evidence to the contrary, do discredit what Otis wrote, on this point? (i.e. does damon have any leads on the album? etc.) Ok, I am forced to use my weapon now :bonk :bonk :bonk Of course he doesn't on this albulm. I never said he did. My question was Since when do we base everything we know, or think we know on his book? His book was his interpretation of how things were and are. And I would say the same if it were Damon's book. My whole point was that I as well as many others know different from his book, some even more so than I.

I was addressing the point on this thread only... if what Otis said about this album was accurate, why bring up "since when do we use Otis's book?" Why NOT use it in this case, if it was accurate? and you can keep your :bonk :bonk shelved until needed ... it was an honest question

Me too, Brunnen. But as long as Otis's remains the only published work by a Tempt, Ex or current... it will remain a valid source of information. One of many (valid sources of info.)
