Both songs are great. Which one do you like the most and why.

I enjoy HEAVENLY for several reasons.
First there is the vocal trade off between Richard Street and Damon Harris. The opening has that choral effect with the Temptations' harmonies right on point.
I'm also a "string" and "horn" person. The arrangement is wonderful. The engineer kept the horns right below the vocals in the opening segment. Then you hear the strings right underneath Richard's lead - not too loud and not too soft.
It's a great arrangment overall.
Although I also like FIREFLY, I just cannot feel Richard's "evenwhen I have to lie - I shouldn't have to lie - to make the world seem alright!"

I pick "Heavenly" as well. I just can't get into the lyrics to "Firefly" . "Heavenly" is just gorgeous.

I'll go with "Firefly." I find it a more interesting song. love the harmonies, the mix, even the studio and the players. "Firefly" also gives a better sense of the Richard Street's vocal style or what I like from his voice.
Oddly enough, the "I shouldn't have to lie, to make the world seem allright," line makes the song for me. Never was a fan of "perfect" sentiments...

You chose two songs that I absolutely LOVE. "HEAVENLY" is more a light and airy type of love song, where as "FIREFLY" is *DEEP* and sensual. At least I think so. ;D
