I am a melody person. If I like the melody I like the song...I don't even listen to the words until after the fact. I'm strange like that..... BTW, what is surface thrills??

Yeah, and see I'm the opposite. I'm all about the lyrics. Surface Thrills is an album from '83 or somewhere along in there that should have never been produced. Actually, I'm overly hard on it and it's kind of an inside joke. The Aerobics song is the worst song they ever recorded but the rest of the album is not all that bad. I think there's a thread here about it if you want to hunt for it.

Sorry, my mistake. "A.O.A Lover" is a song from Special, not Milestone. I knew that too. I think I had what might be called a "brainfart". :laughing

And they were standing on a steel girder supposedly suspended in the air. After that album cover I prayed for that album to be good. Then I heard " Bring Your Body Here ( The Exercise Chant ) and I cried out " Why have you forsaken me Lord ! It took me years of intensive therapy to recover from that one. They were still my boys though.

The fact that you can pick up a sealed copy of "Surface Thrills" for about 2 bucks quite easily should be an indicator of how bad parts of it truly are.

DON'T YOU MEAN "O.A.O. LOVER?" THE SONG IS A BONUS TRACK OFF THE CD VERSION OF THEIR 1989 ALBUM "SPECIAL." I GOT THE CD

Good morning Ivory I think your just a pushover for anything Tempts ( I mean that in a good way) I am listening to this Milestone album as I type this. My opinion hasn't change the album basically is "terrible" and your cut "eeni meeni minee moe" is well....just not good. It seem so elementary for the "Tempts" . I am reading the Liner notes and This was their 50th album dedicated to the memories of david Ruffin and Paul Williams. I am too. ;D But Celebrate and Hoops of Fire deserve some mention. I don't know what folks are looking for. I think ALi was great for the Temps...I bet they wish they had him now..no disrespect to GC in any way. I like Milestone except for Ennie Meenie Minee Mo or what ever the hell iit was called......... ;D ;D ;D Also I am using We Should Be Making Love and Wait A Minute on some of my Smooth R&B cds right now..So I give it a good vote as far as i'm concerned............

Now Ivory..you sing that darn ennie meenie song!!!! ;D ;D
