What is your favorite Eddie Kendrick song from his solo years. Mine would have to be One Of The Poorest People. My favorite Album is Vintage 78. I can listen to that straight through without skipping a track
Words are spoken theres nobody to hear. Just tryna tell myself I'm not a fool, I could take the moon and spin it round in circles have what money can buy. With all my motorcars and fancy clothes I'm a lucky guy, It's cold out side just maybe maybe I'll feel the cold.............ooh :inlove :inlove

"This Used To Be The Home Of Johnnie Mae"
I absolutely love his natural tenor voice and wish he would have used it more often.

Ever wonder if that is "the" Johnnie Mae from the early days of the distants? (She of the famous fried chicken...pee in the can trick!) :laughing :laughing :laughing ...you're my everything...

Now the hard-core Eddie fans can correct me on this, but I think the general concensus is that it's NOT the same Johnnie Mae.

"Rudolph" (From Christmas Card), "Date With The Rain", "JMI", "Get The Cream Off The Top", & Everything Else He Sings! It"s Too Hard To Pick Just One!

"Rudolph" (From Christmas Card), "Date With The Rain", "JMI", "Get The Cream Off The Top", & Everything Else He Sings! It"s Too Hard To Pick Just One! That's why I always bought the albums and not the singles...more Eddie that way. Even the filler songs (to fill out the LPs) always included some gems! ...running away with me...
