I heard that the president--I still call him that; "former president" just takes too long to say (and type)--is coming down the Mississippi way in May. I hope I get to see him. It'll be cool to see the man in person, even from a distance.
When he was running for president and he played the saxophone on Arsenio, how many of y'all caught that when it came on?

Being a baby boomer I'm not surprised that he is a big fan of Motown. Out of all the music that came out of the 60's (with the exception of my Sam of course ) Motown and the Atlantic Record sound is my favorite. I think the music that these labels put out were timeless. Of course there were other artist from other labels but I guess there music stands out for me. Wait a minute let me bring this thread back on track again...... www.sacticket.com/ips_rich_content/18-0228temptations_250x207.jpg [/IMG] Okay that's better.....LOL!!!

He's supposed to be the speaker at Tougaloo College's commencement ceremony this May. I asked one of my instructors about tickets to graduation, since the speaker is so "high profile," and she told me that the news wasn't supposed to be out until they had worked out little details like that. But I had already told everybody I knew.

He had several autograph pictures from entertainers the majority of them were R&B acts. I guess now I know what type of music he listended to growing up in the South. Kim, Bill Clinton was on Larry King recently with Al Sharpton. Sharpton made a joke to Larry along the lines of "You know, we've already had a black president...... he's sitting right next to me."

Al got that joke from some comedians.....when Bill Clinton won the NAACP Image Award Chris Tucker was teasing the President about that very same thing. He told the President "Man I heard you moved to Harlem my cousin Willie told me he saw you there the other day." ;D LOL!!!

And I'm not just saying that because President Dip-wad interrupted Survivor tonight just so he could say, "Blah blah blah blah." Yes at first I think his office was supposed to be somewhere looking over Central Park but congress complained that it was far too high for tax payers etc. etc. etc. so Charles Rangle asked him to come Uptown to an office in Harlem I think he has the top floor all to himself and from what I understand the office is 3 times larger than the first office he chose. And since he has moved to Harlem business is booming in the area located near the Presidents office. He truly helped the economy in Harlem.
