Like for a while, folks thought Luther Vandross was either dead or near death.

I give all music a shot. My collection includes lot of hip hop, Ja Rule, Mystical, Nappy Head, Snoop, to name a few. Tupac while he was with Digital Underground was pretty good but became more politcal out on his own.....Dear Mr. President! Tell me what to do!
I try them all but settle on just a few. I like 112, Usher and some of the others like K C and JoJo. I'm the music man.....I got listen before I speak or risk looking like a fool. ;D

I don't really remember listening to music before the mid-90s. It's getting so that now I like artists instead of just the songs. I'll listen to R&B before anything else. 112, Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, etc, etc.

Don't you just LOVE Mystikal? I don't know what it is, he's got that unique voice that I love. He almost sounds like James Brown.

If you can understand Mystikal, then he cannot sound like James Brown...

I love Mysti-KAL. The only song I've listened to on Gerald Levert's new album is the one with him on it, "Too Much Room."

You need to listen to Oh What a Night, with Roy Ayers and the hit song Funny which has a great video from Gerald Levert. See I listen to the new jack stuff as well as the old school stuff, Hollar Back!!!! ;D

Holla back youngun! Whoo whoo! Holla back! Whoo whoo!... Oh, I'm sorry. I got carried away. ;D That's the only song of Fabolous's that I like.
But I'll take your suggestion, Aba, and listen to G-Spot some more. ;D

lol at mikey-screech-saved by the bell! even i watched some of that ''show'' with my chilluns! ;D
i can't get into songs that talk about g-spots, hit me in the back, work it, and all the sexual references. i was at my son's friends house last night and they had BET videos on and i watched 5 seconds of it and all it was was jungle fever to a beat.there were half naked folks clinging to each other like ivy on walls.
what happened to talented black jazz and r and b singers that were noted for their talent and ability- not known for the tattoos and for filthy lyrics and stolen samples.
