Diva...Tony's reportage style is much more Joan Rivers than say Connie Chung. He's a disher. Doesn't make it completely invalid. I too would prefer more a balance, but you have to go elsewhere to balance out Tony's distinctive style. I just wish there WERE more out there about the particular people I'm interested in. And Mike ain't writing!!   |

Diva..Yup. I'd like to hear more about Eddie kicking back with folks and fans outside after shows...things like that to bring out their GOOD human side.

Eddie Kendricks: Very nice man,took time for his fans,didn't like "superstar" treatment,just wanted respect for his talent . Now if you got on his bad side......trouble . Dennis Edwards:Very funny,very nice,sometimes too nice. Takes time with his fans,just does not want conflict. Seems real to me. Can't look at him when something funny's going down,you'll die laughing! David Ruffin : Nothing like what I read! Which was good because I was ready for the worst ! He fooled me,no ego trips,generous, too trusting very misunderstood,very talented. Don't believe everything that's written about Ruffin .  |

In reading postings on this message board, at one time Mike said that he had seen the Classic Five perform. Now in amore recent posting he said he was 11 when he saw Ruffin and Kendricks with Oates and Hall. If the later statement is true, which seems more likely in tune with other postings, there is no way he saw Paul in a live performance or the Classic Five perform in a live performance.

Dear Guest....since you haven't bothered to read all the posts yet and not to get into a debate with you until you reveal yourself. I will just say this: I have proof that he saw them. I have pictures of him with Paul when he was younger but you need to identify yourself in some manner so we can really talk about this. His relationship with them goes back to his childhood. Maybe it was a typo or something but maybe he will choose to respond to this himself. i still insist you join us to participate in the discussions.

I don't know Mr. Turner from Adam, so I don't know if what he says is all true or not, but he gets me as the type that saw some things, then went overboard to make it seem more interesting or juicier.
