I've already bought the DvD, and it think it is a great documentary about the man and the music of his times.
I just found this article on "Southern Soul List" and would like to share it with you: (I knew from the start that this DvD was very special.)
Reelin' in the Years asked me to forward this.
All the best,
Rob Bowman

Dear All,
It's official, thanks to your support "Dreams To Remember: The Legacy Of
Otis Redding" is on the Grammy ballot in the category of Best Long Form
Music Video (Category #110).
There is a short window to ensure that this DVD is nominated. All
ballots from the voters must be RECEIVED by November 7th. There are 158
entires in this category on the ballot (Last year there was almost 500)
so we have some serious competition. However all of the press that Stax
has garnered this year for its 50th anniversary celebration will help us
with the voters as will the fact that Otis Redding was so dearly loved
and that December 10th marks the 40th anniversary of his tragic death in
plane crash.
All voters get to submit five choices from the list of 158 on the ballot
so we're hoping that they will make "Dreams To Remember: The Legacy Of
Otis Redding" (which is entry #102) one of their five in the category
of Best Long Form Music Video. The top five will be announced in early
December and then we'll see if "Dreams To Remember: The Legacy Of Otis
Redding" is nominated for a Grammy.
We can't think of a more fitting tribute to this great man than to have
him nominated for a Grammy (and hopefully win) 40 years after his
untimely passing.
In addition to "Dreams To Remember: The Legacy Of Otis Redding," Reelin'
In The Years Productions have three other titles on the ballot for
consideration.
(1) Jazz Icons: John Coltrane; Live In '60, '61 & '65 (Entry #27)
(2) Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Definitive Performances 1963 - 1987
(Entry #104)
(3) American Folk Blues Festival (The British Tours 1963- 1966) (Entry
#134) (Volume One was nominated for a Grammy in 2004)
Again thank all for your support.
Sincerely,
David A. Peck
