I was driving around Pittsburgh and i put an old Temptations CD in my player "SOLID ROCK"
i started listening to "ain't no sunshine" The Temptations version of the Bill Withers song. Damon & Richard was BADD on that one....the arrangement was off the hook.....that was onr of the songs that was a saving grace for that CD
other good cuts were: a) Take a look around b) Superstar c) What it is

I feel that Heavenly was Damon & Richard's best as a duo.

Yeah, "Ain't No Sunshine" is good but I've gotta give the "best cut on the album" award to "Heavenly." I may not be the one you want but I'm SHO the one you need....
One of the greatest lines in Temptation history.

That's one of my all time favourite soul numbers..I'd love to hear the Tempts take on it... Was it mellow like Withers' version or did Whitfield give it a Psycadelic Funk-Up?

Man...what a song! I just downloaded it off kazaa file sharing place, I love everything about the song.
The vocals, and especially that cool sounding vibey piano section leading into the first verse.
I now have a new favourite Temps song!

Yeah my favourite 4 now...I go thru phases of about 2 weeks each - where I love a song so much that I play it over and over, on my stereo or in my head - and I eventually get sick of it and move onto another one. It's turned out to be a great way of learning the lyrics. Other "phases" I've gone thru lately include PLEASE RETURN YOUR LOVE TO ME, DREAM COME TRUE, AIN'T NO SUN SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE, LITTLE GREEN APPLES, IT'S SUMMER.
But I'M LOSING YOU will always be my overall favourite!

I feel sad when I hear them in a store because I'm too afraid to sing along! But if I hear them in my car or at home...I'm right there! :wtg ...running away with me...
