Nat King Cole would have still been successful, I don't feel that he would have changed his style much. I believe Nat and Natalie would have done some LP's that would have kept him young at heart.
Frankie Lyman would have been in the dumps. After his voice grew up. I think his season would have been up. Had he lived and stayed clean maybe there would have truly been a reunion of the teenagers? There was a strangeness like Michael Jackson that would have kept him going through changes.....I still don't see what people saw in him?
Otis Redding would still be singing those soulful sounds and making music. Especially if he got good producers.
Marvin Gaye would go in and out of exile, but the hits would still come. I think he would still be trying to match "What's going on." Marvin would be singing his oldies but goodies. I think had Marvin lived there would be book about how he overcame drugs and life's issues. Marvin would have produced and written a gospel album. If you read the comments on the "What's going on LP" Marvin had a walk with God for a period and he would have been quite a witness.
Paul Williams would be with Dennis Edward's and the Temptations Review. Eddie was his best friend and Eddie started was is now known as the Review. Paul was a great singer who could sing the classics.
Minnie Rippalton would be around, I don't know if she could hits those highs...but she had a sweet voice. "Loving You" can never go out of style.
John Coltrane would still be blowing. If he would stay in the direction he was going when he died this generation would have a problem getting with him. Coltrane was deep and a lot of his later music was out there. However if he had went to back in the early days I think John coltrane would have made a strong comeback.
Jimi Hendrix had he lived...well I just don't know........He was in a Class all by Himself!
Luther Vandross would still be singing the HELL out of the Love Songs.
