HEY EVERYONE, HOW'S IT GOING? THERES NOT BEEN TOO MUCH ACTION IN HERE SINCE THE BOARD'S BEEN OPEN. I GUESS EVERYBODY HASN'T HEARD THE NEWS YET, SO SPREAD THE WORD!!!! THERE'S TWO GREAT BOARDS OUT THERE- THIS ONE AND ED'S SO SPREAD YOURSELF AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!  |

Joe R checking in. I didn't know the board re-opened. I checked my links page from my website just to see if this link was still working. Low and behold I gained entrance. So glad I didn't delete the link from my website. ;D |

Funny...  I seem to remember posting in this thread earlier...must've imagined that.  Hey, curet... Great to see you again. Welcome back. A little explanation from Ivory (dated 10.31.05): "The timing for my re-opening the board was simple ........... I have been on vacation for the last week and had a lot of free time. I was in the process of dismantling the main site because the annual renewal time is in November. After doing some research, it became clear to me that the price I was paying was almost as cheap as it would be to take it down and try to find a 'free' place. I share the hosting package for TemptsInfo with another site that I do and had no intention of taking THAT one down. It's a 'three for the price of one thing.'
"I had received several IMs and email since I shut the board down asking me to reconsider. And when I was in the process of tinkering around with the board, I noticed that when Proboards upgraded the software a few months back, automatic sign-ups had been disabled and, over the last three months, almost 100 new people had joined the board even when there was a clear message saying that the board was shut down.
"So obviously there was still a demand for it no matter what I said."So, we're back in business thanks to the thoughtfulness of our benevolent despot...the incomparable Miss Ivory! PS. Hi, Bumby ;D |

Like Curet, I still had the site bookmarked so I clicked on it to see if Ivory had taken it down -- if so I was going to delete it. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it was back in action --- thanks Ivory  ! Yours is one of the few boards that I post on so there was a void when it was inactive. Glad to see almost everyone made it back "home." |
