Was this before my time? Telephone cords connecting remotes to cable boxes? I don't remember none of that.

Only thing I remember about Beta is they had smaller cassettes than VHS and they had their own VCR-like machine... Beta to VHS tapes is like Dyvx to DVD. Monster Squad was a movie that came out about 1987. I liked werewolves and that movie had one in it. But I got to see it on HBO. allmovie.com says this about it... A group of adolescent monster movie enthusiasts form a club that meets in a treehouse in this pre-teen horror feature. When Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein, and The Wolfman are joined by Gill-Man in the search for a magic amulet, the boys form the Monster Squad to battle the forces of evil. The boys get unexpected help from Frankenstein when the monster grows tired of being continually bossed around by Dracula. Was an entertaining movie!

Cadeho I know what you're talking about.....I had cable when they still called it Home Box Office. HBO is a recent term. Our games used to be on Home Box Office. ;D
There was Beta1 which was the original machine and the Beta 2 and 3. Problem was Beta 2 and 3 machines would not play Beta 1 so now I have all this great stuff on Beta 1 that I need to transfer. Can Anybody help?

yes, go to a video transfer store in san antonio and have them reformatted to cd or dvd or if you still like rewinding tape, to vhs.

I think I'm more of a comedy type of gal. Besides that, I don't get to rent movies anyway.
