I HAVE to reply to this one! I saw it today (I hardly watch Oprah), and not only did my eyes get watery, but man, I cried. It was so touching and it was like I could feel their joy. But you have to tell this woman's whole story. She was a single woman with three children of her own, but she took in 6 of her heroine-addicted brother's kids just so that they could all be together and not be separated by the state

Hey Oprah, if you get a chance to read this, I am a single mother with 15 kids. I was only pregnant 3 times. I was fortunate enough to have sextuplets twice, and 1 child. I need a new house too! ;D

See that's why I can dig Oprah havin all that money...she's not too selfish to actually give some of it away! I know it must make her heart pound with joy when she can do things like this for less fortunate, hard working people...and this woman worked hard!

I didn't get to see that episode but heard about it, so yes; God bless Oprah & that women for taking in those children!! I did watch Opera today though, I'm not sure if it was a new or old episode but my God it got me good!! Ricky Martin was on it(not to promote a new album or song) but he went to Thialand & visited the Tsunamia victims. It was heart breaking. He said they are many problems facing our world today: Wars, poverty, diseases, etc. But the number one problem is "child trafficing". Children, here in America, in Europe, in Africa, everywhere! Are being sold into prostitution & pornography!! He was filmed in Thialand by Oprahs people, seeing the devistation the storm had on it's people. It was absolutely devistating. But there was a glimmer of hope in his story. While there he found a star, a miracle. A one month old baby survived the tsunamia, someone found the child abandoned in a field after the storm had wrecked havock with a note that said:"Take this baby, it survived the storm but I can not afford to care for it. Make sure he is adopted or put into an orphanage". It was the sweetest thing!! Then he told the saddest most disgusting story he said he's ever heard in his ENTIRE life!! He said, not even a year ago, there was a man who payed someone $10,000 to have sex with a 5 month old baby!!!!!!!!!! Then Oprah brought on journalist/reporter Lisa Lee(ling), something along those lines. Lisa was sent to Africa, into the Congo....one of the most dangerous places to be at this time. There is a war there taking place between the Hootsies & the Tootsies tribes(sorry if I spelled them wrong. Lisa went there & talked to the innocent victims of the fighting between the two tribes. Soldiers hide out at night in villages & attack, out of nowhere. Torturing, killing, & raping. Women have it the worst, many are gang-raped & used as sex slaves. A women Lisa interviewed named Nabitu had the worst story I've ever heard in my entire life!! It's very raw & graphic so if you wish to know it, email me & I'll tell you. It's just hard to hear, I cried my eyes out!! It's such a haunting story!!!! She continued on in the episode saying its one of the worst places in the world, to have to live with such fear every day & it is also the most ignored!! Lisa & Oprah discussed it & Oprah doesn't like to bring up race, but said it's ingnored because it's happening in Africa to African Americans. She said people think "Oh why should we care,. it's there problem & their savages anyway". And the people that don't think that most likely don't know about it cause our media doesn't cover it. It was the most heartbreaking, touching, moving, inspiring episode of Oprah, let alone of any other TV show I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless Oprah =)

Also during that episode, the movie Hotel Rawanda was brought up & highly reccomended to all. It tells of the Rawandan geniucide that took place in 1994 between the Hootsies & the Tootsies(again I think I spelled those wrong) & is still going on today. I had to watch the movie in school....it took my breath away!! Go watch it, rent it, buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
