For those born after the Civil Rights Movement, you could have watched racism " at its best" in South Africa Some of us didn't have to watch it on T.V. Some people grew up with it even after the civil rights movement, and after. You ((Grams)) out of anybody should know. |

Yes, you are right, Tara. I was alluding to your darling Beej's comment ... I also think that there are actually people who never have witnessed racism -- or, rather, didn't "see" it as what it was/is.
I had a history professor who was a naturalized American (as I am) and claimed that there was "no racism whatsoever" in the USA. He said it with such an authority that most of us couldn't even respond until after a few minutes had passed ... We were simply stunned by his audacity.

But can you believe that Swiss women are allowed to vote for even a shorter time? The world is full of injustice ... and in my opinion, all the disfranchised people should stick together and fight the same fight. |

I checked the facts quickly. The Swiss women gained the right to vote in 1971!!!!
All I want to say is that all over this planet there are societies who create an underclass for their very special needs.
