When I was living in SO Cal. for most of the 80's, there was this GREAT PLACE.. EL Pollo Loco ( the crazy Chicken)... I LOVED that place....it was soooo goood.. and nearby.. were signs for homeade tamales... from someones kitchen... it was sooo gooood....... move to seattle.. they dont have it here.. big disapointment... we also dont have a Der Weinersnitzel either.. ..... and the drive thru grocery stores in Ca. .. just zip on in on your bike. or car.... tell the person what cha want.. boom.. ya dont have to even turn off your bike or car...... that was soooo convienient! Good news Co...El Pollo Loco...The Crazy Chicken for you Spanish challenged...is going strong! We also have them in Nevada! The best bbq beans of any fast food place, too! :wtg ...cloud nine...

Coey & Brunnen - I lived in Southern California from 1965 to 1983 - now I live in the State of Washington as Coey does.
Where did you live Coey & Brunnen???
I lived in Lancaster!
I miss Del Taco. Coey - We have a Der Weinerschnitzel up here where I live. My Husband and I went - and it was LOUSY - nothing like we remember from California.
Another thing my Husband and I miss up here is a Combination Burrito - beans and beef - you cannot find them up here.
Also we miss Naugel's from California.

I lived in LA, West Covina, and still have a place in Arcadia! I went to Del Taco for take-out just yesterday! Naugles died and they became more Taco Bells about 15 years ago, I think. California rocks...except when they get too much rain! ;D ...cloud nine...

Thanks Coey & Brunnen - All of those areas are great places to live. My Husband and I love the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area - in fact - we spent our Honeymoon there - and - we ate Mexican food at a great restaurant down there.
